BLAST Linux LiveCD
asked us to produce a Linux LiveCD called BLAST for their customers. SI are based in Australia and wanted a secure LiveCD for browsing the web and other internet activities, which provided security for the host PC from viruses, an alternative to using Windows.
BLAST had to provide numerous levels of functionality while being simple to use and versatile.
How it Works
LiveCD's have been around for a while in the Linux community and there are a host of different LiveCD's available to play around with. LiveCD's generally don't affect your HDD hence your current installation, be it Windows or Linux.
BLAST is based on the popular meta-distribution Gentoo as many of the Ainkaboot operating systems are. It uses the Linux Kernel and consists entirely of open source programs.
Many hours have been spent in producing an attractive GUI which is easy to use and functional.
